The purpose of this research is to develop a concept for the e-VUE encyclopedia portal. It has to be based on recent models, methods, and software for web-applications development. The project's purpose is to support an effective operation of the web-version of the "Great Ukrainian Encyclopedia" and to provide easy access to the encyclopedia's content for users and information resources' developers. This work will be based on the development and improvement of the components of the u-VUE web-version. The latter expands Wiki-technologies' functionality through the use of knowledge-oriented tools to create distributed information resources.
