To establish a number of interrelated theoretical tasks that cover the structural, energetic and comparative analysis of regulatory elements of viral RNA and DNA using modern methods of computational biology. The project will use a wide range of modern computational biological, bioinformatics, structural modeling, molecular dynamics and quantum chemical methods that will provide a multi-level approach to the analysis of regulatory elements of viral genomes. The project is aimed at solving one of the key tasks of modern virology and molecular biology - in-depth study of regulatory elements of the genomes of viruses that have the greatest epidemiological and social significance: SARS-CoV-2, HIV-1, hepatitis B and C viruses.
