The purpose of the work was to investigate a number of problems of functional analysis with their applications in math. physics. The main results are: a study the inverse spectral problem for commutative Jacobi fields and its applications to integration of non-Abelian Toda chains. We construct a harmonic analysis on configuration spaces and apply the results to equilibrium and non-equilibrium problems for continuous systems in mathematical physics. Spectral propeties of the Shroedinger operator with fractal potential are studied. We also study the problem of approximation of zero range potential Shroedinger operators with regular potential Shroedinger operators in the sense of norm resolvent convergence. A number of general problems in representation theory of *-algebras are studied and applications in operator theory and mathematical physics are given .
