The studies of work conditions in the use of modern technologies for biofuel production in agriculture have been conducted with the aim to determine the potential risk from work environmental factors for workers. Hygienic, microbiological, chemical and statistical methods were used for the investigations. It is established that the biological factor takes the leading place among all other studied work-related factors in the processing of the vegetable raw material (rapeseed) into the biofuel. The relation of the content of microorganisms on microclimatic indices and dust concentrations was found. The measures on prevention of unfavourable effect of work conditions on the workers' health have been proposed, basing on the hygienic assessment of modern technologies The comprehensive assessment of technologies for receiving the biofuel from the vegetable raw material (rape) was made for the first time and the presence of a large number of microfungi was established, which can be the most significant risk factor for individuals, working with the vegetable raw material. An Information Letter has been prepared and its introduction into the work of the sanitary-epidemiological service and work safety service at enterprises will promote improvement of work conditions and prevention of occupational and work-related diseases
