Objectives - To compare the rates of the regression of malignant lung tumor between the conventional, intravenous and intratumoral, transbronchial administration of the antitumor drugs. Research methods and equipment - a conventional clinical and morphological analysis, endoscopy, X-ray, Computer Tomography, hematological, biochemical, histological analysis and electron microscopy. Results: The medical case histories of non-small cell lung cancer patients were analyzed for the comparative evaluation of two chemotherapeutic schemes: gemcitabin plus cysplatinum versus paklitaxel plus cysplatinum. The chemotherapy using gemcitabin plus cysplatinum caused a higher outcome of the toxic effects of grade II and III, i.e. trombopenia, anemia, leucopenia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. For the chemotherapy with paklitaxel plus cysplatinum the sensor neuropathia, the lesser grade of hematologic toxicity and gastrointestinal side effects (mainly, grade I and II) were observed. The severity of the side effects had an additive pattern and increased from the first to the fourth course of the treatment. The individual features of cell ultrastructure and their specific characteristics were detected in non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma). It was shown that the total efficacy of the scheme using gemcitabin (48,9 %) was higher than that of with paklitaxel (44,1 %). Areas of application: medicine, oncology.
