Object of research - resources and energy saving technologies for rail transport and their use in multimodal transport. Subject of research - reserves implementation traction, friction and braking characteristics of railway vehicles. The purpose of research - development and justification of advanced engineering solutions for energy efficiency design and operation of rail vehicles. Developed a set of technical solutions to improve the efficiency of vehicles. A mathematical model of contact interaction wheelset with rail track to evaluate and use improved. An iterative method for expediting the settlement offered. Experimental verification of the mathematical model is made. A simulation model of the motion of the abrasive jet stream in contact with the rail wheels created.
