The object of study - the process of energy conversion in the power and energy equipment locomotive. Purpose - improving the energy efficiency of the vehicle due to the rational use of energy reserves of the vehicle, namely mechanical, thermal and braking energy. Methods: - The analysis of works in the direction of improving energy efficiency and mechanical parts - the method of system analysis and synthesis of information, method of expert evaluations, the method of functional analysis; - Mathematical modeling and simulation of processes in the locomotive and numerical methods for solving differential equations, integration of differential equations; - In experimental studies - full-scale tests on the bench installations, physical modeling, simulation methods, design of experiments, mathematical processing of the experimental results, iterative methods for making trade-off decisions under uncertainty.
