Aim of research is to develop, substantiate theoretically and approve experimentally methodology of discursive competence formation of future health professionals using innovative technologies. Methods of the research: methods of theoretical and empirical research: synthesis, analysis, abstraction and specification; analogy and simulation; quantitative and qualitative methods (scientometrics and bibliometrics); system analysis, testing, observation, experiment, method of deduction and induction. In this context, the research has the following objectives: to clarify and substantiate the essence of such scientific concepts as "discourse", "foreign language competence", "discourse competence", "innovative technologies"; to make a typology of discourses in medical communication; to identify and substantiate the possibilities of using innovative technologies in teaching of professionally-oriented communication of future health care workers; to develop, approve and substantiate experimental methodology of formation of discursive competence of future health professionals; select the language and speech material for a system of exercises and tasks for the formation of discursive foreign language competence of future health professionals.
