In further studies were chosen conditions for enzymatic hydrolysis of collagen derived fraction and low molecular weight fragments of 2 to 26 kDa. It was the influence of these fragments to the development of obesity on the model of high diet in rats. According to the obtained results, fragments of collagen extracted from fish scales Antarctic region by their oral administration reduced the amount consumed per day meal, accompanied by a corresponding decrease in body weight and body mass index animals compared to the corresponding figures for rats who were only on high-calorie diet which indirectly may indicate the ability of collagen fragments affect the feeling of fullness. It was found a modulating effect of oral low-maintenance solution collagen fragments in a number of parameters (blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and insulin), considered as informative markers of insulin resistance state. The introduction of rats that were on high-calorie diet solution of low molecular weight collagen fragments helped normalize the activity of key enzymes of antioxidant protection and improved cytokine profile.
