The study of their biological activity revealed efficient telomerase inhibitors with antitumor activity in vitro at nanomolar concentrations (EC50=50-700 nM). Mechanisms of ligand-G4 interaction were studied using biophysical methods and molecular modeling. The "structure-activity" relationship was analyzed to find factors determining the biological activity of compounds. The obtained data are the basis for designing efficient inhibitors and antitumor agents. New reagents for the fluorescent detection of G4 DNA were developed.
