Issues of the formation of translators' professional competence in the field of the application of modern information resources in the learning process have been analyzed within the framework of the scientific direction of the department "Translation as the means of language communication" during the reporting period. Linguocultural concepts in different types of discourse have been considered, the means of their verbalization in the Anglo-Saxon worldview have been studied. The notion of visualization has been specified, taking into consideration the achievements in the field of visual information transferring; the functions of the educational content visualization for teaching specialized translation have been defined; the conclusion is made about the need to include the visualization of educational content in the link "text - visualization - exercise" to optimize the process of training professional translators.
