Splenectomy in patients with HIV, performed in connection with splenomegaly and severe cytopenia, ineffectiveness of previous treatment, directly leads to complete clinical-hematological remission (elimination of cytopenia, disappearance of hairy cells in peripheral blood in 80% of patients) to partial remission. The median undue survival (event - relapse or death from disease) of patients with GDL who underwent splenectomy was 53 months, and 5 and 10-year survival was achieved in 45% of patients, 20 years in 35%. Splenectomy was effective in 93% of CLL patients. The worst long-term results of splenectomy were observed in CLL patients complicated by autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia at the same time. Median overall survival was 49.5 months. Indications for splenectomy in chronic lymphoid neoplasia are massive splenomegaly, abdominal discomfort, concomitant autoimmune hemolytic anemia and / or immune thrombocytopenia, regional portal hypertension, hyperplenism, ineffectiveness of cytostatic disease, cytostatic disease.
