Alcohol fermentation gases are described as raw materials for the production of liqued carbon dioxide. Documents defining the quality standards of carbon dioxide in Ukraine and in the world, as well as the physicochemical indicators of carbon dioxide for food are given. The comparative characteristic of the schemes of obtaining the liqued carbon dioxide in the cycles of medium and high pressure, methods of its purification from the impurities. The production of carbon dioxide in alcohol plants is economically viable, since fermentation gases are a waste with a 98-99% content of the basic substance.
