 The urgency of the topic is due to the need for theoretical, organizational, methodological and practical justification for the formation of a mechanism for financial support of sustainable development of trade, which would allow in turbulent conditions of the domestic economy to find the tools and opportunities to influence stability and stability. their transition to a new qualitative level of development. The purpose of the research is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation of financial mechanisms for sustainable development of trade enterprises and substantiation of scientific and methodological tools and applied recommendations for their implementation. The novelty of the obtained results lies in the deepening of theoretical and scientific-methodical provisions on the effective functioning of the financial mechanism of sustainable development of trade enterprises. The practical value of the results is their real focus on the formation of an effective financial mechanism for sustainable development of trade enterprises and the practical implementation of the provided guidelines, in particular: guidelines for improving monetary and regulatory incentives to ensure the effective functioning of the financial mechanism of sustainable development; scientific and methodological approach to the formation of a system for evaluating the effectiveness of the financial mechanism to ensure sustainable development of trade enterprises; adapted methods for assessing the risks of sustainable development; methods of strategic assessment of opportunities for adaptation of trade enterprises in terms of sustainable development.
