The aim is to identify characteristic trends in the development of terminological systems, to investigate and delineate the time limits of individual stages of formation of the terminology of the Kharkiv Philological School of the 10-20s, to analyze the sources and ways of formation and replenishment of terminological systems in this period; characterize the structural and functional-semantic manifestations of economic terminology in the Ukrainian language, in particular the financial terminological subsystems of the English and Ukrainian languages; to analyze the terminology and characterize the changes in the functioning and fixation of tourist terms-borrowings that have taken place in the last decades of development of both the industry itself and the relevant terminology. consider the economic term as a unit of media discourse.
The scientific novelty of the proposed study is manifested in the coverage of the historical dynamics of industry terminology as the basis of the language of specialties, in the multifaceted analysis and systematization of borrowed vocabulary in the economic terminology of the Ukrainian language; identifying and generalizing the problem of correctness of translation and spelling of terms of the tourism industry, the development of which is influenced by the intensity of information flows due to the expansion of globalization of the world economy.
Theoretical and practical significance of this research. The obtained concrete conclusions about normative scientific communication give the material for comprehension of the fundamental problem in teaching of humanitarian disciplines of the department.
