Research objective: to develop and implement a system and technology for training future teaching and executive staff for innovative activities in educational institutions. Research methods: analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, comparison, systematisation, generalisation, modelling; observation, experiment, analysis of educational and professional training programmes, generalisation of pedagogical experience. The study deals with methodological approaches, factors, mechanisms, and peculiarities of teaching and executive staff professional training for innovative activities in educational institutions. The preconditions for innovative activity were identified: the formation of a professional and subjective position and professional responsibility; an assertive model of behaviour; a high level of stress resistance and resilience; the formation of creative, professional thinking, the ability to personal and professional growth and self-development. These preconditions were guidelines for the study, the results of which were accumulated in: developed and implemented model of the system of training of teaching and executive staff for innovative activities in educational institutions; developed and implemented comprehensive programme and technology for training for innovative activities in educational institutions; developed an adaptive model of scientific and methodological support for professional development of teachers and educational managers; and also justified and implemented a programme optimise their professional development. The study results were implemented in the practice of professional training of future teachers and managers of educational institutions, as well as in the activities of the Centre for Pedagogical Consulting and Teacher’s Professional Development Centres.
