Обґрунтування концепції первинних (природних), вторинних (похідних) та антропогенних (штучних) оселищ і, відповідно, їх класифікаційних типів. Обґрунтування критеріїв диференціації первинних і вторинних типів оселищ, поняття аналогії, конгруентності та подібності оселищ та їх класифікаційних типів. Початок збирання польових матеріалів у модельних регіонах і на модельних територіях для обґрунтування положення, що охорона (збереження) біорізноманіття можливі лише через оселищну парадигму як практичне втілення екосистемного (ландшафтного) підходу, що передбачає збереження не лише біотичних складових екосистем, але й умов їх існування з усім комплексом абіотичних і традиційних антропогенних чинників.

On the basis of in-depth critical analysis of world and domestic experience, own original developments and special researches in model regions of Ukraine and in nature conservation territories, to conduct environmental assessment of habitat diversity and its changes under the influence of different forms of management and environmental regime. Develop and test methods for habitat diversity inventory and analysis. On the basis of the obtained data, to create registers of types of settlements that need priority protection in view of their sozological status. On the example of model regions of western Ukraine, propose measures for the conservation of biota and landscapes in different conditions of use of the territory, taking into account the principles of the settlement concept of biodiversity conservation. Based on the obtained data, develop recommendations for the implementation of scientific principles of sustainable nature management in the conditions of sustainable development.

The concept of primary (natural), secondary (derived) and anthropogenic (artificial) habitats and their classification types are substantiated. The criteria for differentiating primary and secondary habitat types, the concepts of analogy, congruence and similarity of habitats and their classification types are substantiated. Field materials are collected to substantiate the position that the protection (preservation) of biodiversity is possible only through the habitat paradigm as a practical embodiment of the ecosystem (landscape) approach, which involves the preservation of not only biotic components of ecosystems, but also the conditions of their existence with the entire complex of abiotic and traditional anthropogenic factors.
