popup.description1
Water sampling efficiency and objectivity increased due to the creation of a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly solution: a specialized unmanned aerial vehicle which is characterized by a fundamentally new design of water sampling equipment.
popup.description2
Within the framework a comprehensive cyber-physical system for autonomous water resources monitoring has been developed, addressing the problem of rapid and safe environmental data collection. The primary outcome is the creation of a prototype multi-rotor UAV equipped with a gimbal-mounted bathometer with electromagnetic control, enabling water sampling from depths of up to 3 meters while maintaining sample representativeness regardless of drone maneuvers. The implemented control system, based on cascade PID controllers and energy-efficient navigation algorithms, reduced positioning error by 40–50% and energy consumption by 28%. A significant scientific achievement is the development of swarm intelligence technologies for mission scalability. A method for drone swarm coordination based on visual navigation without direct radio communication has been substantiated and validated, rendering the system resilient to electronic warfare conditions. The application of a neighbor selection strategy based on Delaunay triangulation ensures swarm integrity and increases monitoring coverage area by 20%. The findings of the project hold significant practical value, providing an effective instrument for civilian environmental monitoring, as well as for the reconnaissance of water hazards in the security and defense sector.
