To establish the regularities in the formation of productivity and milk quality of cows of different kappa-casein genotypes under the influence of paratypic factors.
popup.description2
The characteristics of milk productivity and quality development in cows with different genotypes for the kapa-casein locus under the impact of paratypic factors have been established. A study of the impact of the year season by using PCR testing has proven that the kapa-casein locus in the experimental population of cows is represented by 3 kapa-casein genotypes: AA 63.1%, AB 31.6% and BP 5.3%. Under the influence of the year season, the use of AA cows resulted in an increase in milk yield by 7.3 and 3.8% compared to BB and AB animals; in spring, the indicator was higher by 11.9 and 2.1%, in summer by 8.0 and 1.8%, in winter by 4.0 and 12.6% and in the fall by 5.1% against BB cows and slightly different from AB animals. During lactation, cows BB and AB produced better quality milk with increased protein and fat content by 0.49 and 0.19% and by 0.03 and 0.18%. It was determined that when kept tied, the milk yield of BB cows exceeded the indicators of the AA and AB animals by 23.4 and 22.1%. Milk of BB cows contained more protein by 1.09 and 1.02%, and lactose by 1.27 and 1.19% compared to the AA and AB individuals; fat by 1.13% compared to the AA individuals, but 0.89% less than the AB animals. When kept loose, the AA cows produced 3.2% more milk than the AB cows, while the difference between them and the BB cows was noticeably greater by 15.6%. It was found that when kept in loose housing, milk from the BB cows contained 0.58% and 0.38% more protein and 0.19% and 0.03% fatter than that of the AA and AB individuals. The lactose content ranged from 4.86% to 4.89%. Consequently, milk from the BB cows has better nutritional value. To improve the technological characteristics of milk, enhance its suitability for cheese production and consolidate the best hereditary qualities of protein milk production in offspring, it is proposed to conduct large-scale genetic monitoring and use herds of bulls carrying the B allele of the kapa-casein gene for reproduction.
