The object of research is the process of integrating the latest scientific literary knowledge into the educational process and the formation of mental and worldview foundations of a holistic picture of world of philology students. The aim of the work is to develop a strategy for the practical use of scientific achievements of modern academic literature and interdisciplinary schools and trends in the humanities (comparative literature, imagology, receptive aesthetics, postcolonial studies, multiculturalism, gender studies, mythopoetics, intermedial studies) in the process of teaching philology students. In the combination of scientific approaches chosen by the project participants, the heuristic potential of modern imagology, structural-semiotic and structural-typological methods, mythopoetics and myth restoration, hermeneutics and receptive aesthetics and intermedial studies was combined with the methods of systemic, complex, comparative-historical and descriptive analysis. Systematicity and logical order combined with anti-dogmatics and dialogical openness – this scientific strategy was adopted by the authors of the project. At the first stage, the main areas of work were developing a model for integrating the latest literature knowledge into the educational process; accumulating scientific and methodological material, publishing scientific articles; developing curricula in various disciplines. Developing educational and methodological complexes of the disciplines, their implementing into educational process was the main direction of the project implementation at its second stage.
