In the screening study the optimal formulation of the drug was justified. A specific analgesic (anesthetic) activity of topical drug for wound treatment Dioxi-dine+Lidocaine, foam aerosol has been investigated under thermal stimulation of rats ("tail-flick" test). It was shown a significant anesthetic effect of aerosol, that was reflected in increasing pain threshold of rat tail. An anesthetic effect of aerosol started at 15 min (72,3%) and decreased to 34% at 60 min after application. In a study of the acute toxicity of Dioxidine+Lidocaine, foam aerosol, which was studied in mice and rats at a dose of 5.0 g/kg and in rabbits at a dose of 3.0 g/kg (in dosage form), it was found that drug toxicity refers to virtually non-toxic substances. Subchronic toxicity and local irritating effect with repeated exposure has been studied in rabbits at a daily dose of 0.3 g/kg for 2 weeks, in rats at daily doses of 1.0 g/kg and 2.5 g/kg for 1 month. Local irritaiting effect with a single exposure was studied in rabbits at a dose of 0.5 g/animal. It has been established that the study drug has no toxic effect and does not show a local irritating effect on the organism of laboratory animals.54815481
