Application of Baier reaction for the synthesis of stilbene crown ethers has been studied. Complexes with content metal-ligand 2:1 or 1:1. Molecular modeling within the frames of molecular mechanics demonstrates that sandwich complexes are mainly formed in case of large cations and ligand excess.
