It was investigated laws and models of radio wave scattering for remote sensing of soil and a vegetative cover, the radio wave propagation in troposphere above a surface at small grazing angle; features of the subsurface probing, the very low frequency characteristic of natural radiation for geophysical processes. The application of the obtained results for solving the applied problems is analyzed.
