A questioning of cultural organizations, scholars and cultural workers all over Ukraine on studying and protecting intangible heritage was conducted; its results analyzed. On the basis of the gathered and analyzed information some concrete proposals were prepared on ways to solve the problems that exist in the field of intangible heritage protection. A section on intangible cultural heritage and co-operation with UNESCO in this field was designed on the experimental website of the Ukrainian Centre for Cultural Studies; a proposal for the Nomination of "Traditional instrumental folk music performing practices of the Hutsul region" was designed and posted on the website.
