Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  Influence of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 on intact Balb/C mice` immune cells in vitro was revealed to be dose-dependent. In particular, application of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 in a 0,05 mg/ml dose stimulate both lymphocytes and macrophages (were measured by blast transformation reaction and intensity of NO production respectively). At the same time in a dose of ≥ 0,5 mg/ml the cytotoxic influence was observed. Sensitivity of lyphocytes from peripheral lymph nodes, peritoneal and spleen` macrophages to lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724` cytotoxic impact were measured by their IC50 values that were reached in 1,0 mg/ml, 0,15 and 0,14 mg/ml of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 concentration respectively. Based on above, lymphocytes from peripheral lymph nodes are characterized by greatest resistance to cytotoxic impact of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 among studied cell types. For evaluation the possibility of maintaining functional macrophages` activity during tumor growth the influence of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 on specific cytotoxic activity of peritoneal and spleen macrophages from Balb/C mice with terminal stages of Ehrlich carcinoma (35th day) was measured. It was shown that application of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 at long-term tumor growth ex vivo significantly increases the macrophages` cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. Obtained effect indicates the modulating effect of lectin B. subtilis ІМВ В-7724 on fuctional activity of macrophages. Product Description popup.authors Fedosova Nataliia I. Cheremshenko Nadiia L.
