As a result of morphological, biological, economic traits assessment, a classification is performed of collection samples by traits of vegetation period, bush type, seed color form and character, 1000 seeds weight. The collection samples of common bean by the indicator “1000 seeds weight” are divided into groups: small-seeded with 1000 seeds weight up to 200,0 g, medium-seeded (201–400), large-seeded – over 400 g. The vegetation period of common bean collection samples has different duration and makes from 76 to 129 days. From seedlings to maturity, on most precocious forms in conditions of Bukovina, 76–80 days passes. A series of local Ukrainian samples by their pre-maturity are not inferior to the best selection varieties, particularly spray local samples introduced from Chernivtsy- and Ternopil regions. 23 sources of common bean seed high yield capacity are extracted: Otrada, Ros’, Nata, Trakia (Bulgaria), and local samples which exceeded the national standard yield more than by 15 %. The conducted analysis of these samples by maturity groups has shown that the largest number of high-yield samples relates to medium-ripe group – almost 67 % from the extracted sources quantity. In the competitive variety testing, four variety samples have significantly exceeded the neighbor standard by productivity, by 8,4-18,7%, and their crop capacity has made 2,36-2,67 t/hа. The vegetation period duration of the best samples ranged from 85 to 92 days. All the samples were trunk ones, with plant height 33,2-75,7 cm. The height of beans lower tier attachment (an important indicator that determines the samples capability of mechanized collection) made 14,4-15,8 cm. 1000 grains weight of the best trial samples was within 240,1-587,9 g.
