The subject of research is the requirements for quality indicators of firefighter's special protective equipment, methods of their evaluation. The purpose of the work is to improve the requirements for the quality of firefighter's special protective equipment and develop the project of the corresponding national standard of Ukraine. Research methods - analytical (analysis of domestic and foreign regulatory frameworks, management and technical documents, information brochures, manuals, handbooks, test protocols and other literary sources, information on the "Internet" network according to the chosen field of research) and an experimental method of research on firefighter's special protective equipment according to the following quality indicators: flame propagation, flame heat transfer, radiation heat transfer, convective heat resistance, contact heat transfer, etc. using existing test methods. The novelty of the work is that, for the first time, the practical parameters that firefighter's special protective equipment must meet in Ukraine are substantiated, which includes a firefighter's helmet, bib, special firefighter's protective clothing, protective gloves, firefighter's protective shoes, and heat-reflective protective clothing. Based on the results of the work, the project of the national standard of Ukraine DSTU Means of individual protection of firefighters was developed.
