 In the conditions of full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation, domestic socio-political realities, challenges and threats require a systemic response, adequate transformation of the entire security sector, as well as the inclusion of this system in the sphere of political priorities of the state. In this regard, the role of the National Police of Ukraine is to create conditions for the development of a safe living environment, as the basis of security on the territory of Ukraine, as well as a modern system of internal security. The challenges facing the units of the National Police of Ukraine today are directly related to its competence in ensuring the safety of citizens and society, its ability to resist crime, and to provide transparent provision of quality law enforcement services. In the conditions of a complex criminogenic situation, it is important to find and record information about persons who are preparing to commit crimes, in order to prevent them. The unsatisfactory state of crime prevention at the preparation stage is explained by the fact that the National Police units make serious miscalculations in the analysis of available information, planning operational and search measures, organization of interaction, tactics, etc. To a large extent, these shortcomings are caused by the lack of effective methodical, scientifically based recommendations regarding the legal and organizational and tactical foundations of operatively-search activities. The purpose of the research work was the comprehensive development of theoretical-applied issues of legal and organizational-tactical foundations of the operatively-search activities of the National Police of Ukraine in modern conditions, as well as the development of provisions and recommendations of a scientific-applied nature aimed at increasing the effectiveness of this activity.
