The genetically diverse starting materials created in previous years made it possible to effectively use the potential of winter rye in these areas. The breeding value and combining ability of biotypes, families, lines, and CMS systems (MS lines and their sterility fixers) were investigated for using them in heterosis breeding. Synthetic winter rye cultivars and hybrids with specified qualities were created. To develop, study, and economically justify methods for obtaining hybrid seeds. To study hybrids’ and cultivars’ reactions to regulating components of cultivation technologies under various weather and climatic conditions. Sterile line 90691 A, with a sterility level of 95% and line-sterility-fixer 90691 B, winter rye hybrid ‘Kharkivskyi Patron F1’, cultivar-fertility restorer ‘Kraft’, simple male-sterile hybrid ‘IR Kniahynia BK’, and synthetic winter rye cv. ‘IR Kloto’ were created and submitted to the state qualifying examination. The following winter rye cultivars were included in the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Dissemination in Ukraine: cvs. ‘’Pamiati Derevianko’ (state registration certificate No. 210847 dated 10/29/2021, plant variety patent No. 210895 dated 10/29/2021), ‘Aivenho’ (state registration certificate No. 210451 dated 02/16/2021, plant variety patent No. 210440 dated 02/19/2021), and ‘Niva Voloshkova’ (state registration certificate No. 230724 dated 10/02/2023, plant variety patent No. 230597 dated 10/25/2023).
