Object of the research – transformation processes in the development of the Carpathian–Podillian oblasts of Ukraine at the regional and local levels. Subject of the research – the features of spatial planning for the development of these oblasts under transformational changes at both local and regional levels. Purpose of the work – to improve and further develop the theoretical and methodological foundations of spatial planning for the development of these oblasts under transformational changes. Research methodology – the multifacet Research methodology – the multifaceted and interdisciplinary nature of the phenomena, processes, and factors analyzed in the report necessitated the use of a wide range of scientific methods: analysis, synthesis, cause-and-effect analysis, typology, systems approach, logical, empirical, comparative-geographical, statistical, GIS-based, cartographic methods, mathematical modeling, regionalization (zoning), etc. Results and novelty – the R&D work provides a theoretical generalization and yields practical results for addressing scientific and applied problems of spatial planning of regional development under transformational changes.
