The magnetic field-induced first order phase transition of "spin-flop" type was observed in the crystal NdFe3(BO3)4. The domain structure of magnetic intermediate state was visualised in the crystal TbFe3(BO3)4. The polarised absorption spectra of TmAl3(BO3)4 were shown to be affected by lowering Tm3+ ion local symmetry from D3 to С1 at low temperatures.
