(A definition of political discourse has been discussed in the article as well as traditional german values, figuring in the texts of Konrad Adenauer speeches, have been found and analysed from the point of their verbal representation in the context’s surrounding. The political discourse has become a subject of interdisciplinary research and integrates in itself the results of investigation of such sciences as linguistics, cultural and political studies. It is worth noting that every statesman aims to draw and to influence the audience through his oration. A good way the reach this goal seems to be the mentioning of those particular concepts that really matter for various strata of society. Among other specific moral standards of german nation one should name «unity», «freedom», «human dignity», «Christianity» etc. The first chancellor of Federal Republic of Germany Konrad Adenauer provided to the conscience of the citizens of his country in the situation of general instability in the whole land the norms and ideals that population understood, supported and accepted. With the help of his speeches this political figure has tried to cultivate in the people’s mind the feeling of solidarity, the responsible attitude to the labor, the high importance of religious questions for community. The effect of persuasiveness can be achieved in addition by using the stylistic devices, for instance anaphora, epithet, allegory, irony, conduplicatio, parrhesia and others.)
