A new biodegradable composite packaging material for fruit and vegetable pastes and sauces were developed. A number of studies which were to improve the physical properties of the film material based on chitosan and investigated the effect of various treatments on its sorption properties. According to the results of theoretical and analytical studies, created a biodegradable composite material for packing on board with chitosan and wax coating. A number of studies on the physico-chemical and performance characteristics of the packaging material, namely the study of hydrophobic material, water vapor permeability and moisture absorption, adhesion strength of coatings to the cardboard. Based on these results established the feasibility of establishing biodegradable composites based on chitosan-coated paperboard for the packaging and the use of the developed materials in the economy.
