Thus, apart from the Burmich et al. V. Ukraine group, the number of other ECHR cases against Ukraine has only increased. In 2017, Ukraine paid almost UAH 1.5 billion under ECHR decisions. . Therefore, this paper seeks to identify the cause of the lack of protection of human rights in Ukraine and to develop proposals for improvement in this area. The objective of the work is to analyze the actual situation with human rights guarantees, to analyze complaints against the ECtHR and to develop improvements in the field of human rights protection.
