That is why the selection of soybeans at the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture is aimed at creating competitive varieties with increased adaptive potential for cultivation on irrigated lands in southern Ukraine, optimized morphological features and properties. This will increase the level of seed yield by 10-15%, improve its quality and overall increase in protein and oil production, compared to existing ones, effectively develop domestic agricultural production, which has social and economic significance. Recently, due to the spread of heart disease, obesity and stroke, taking care of their health, consumers are forced to turn to green vegetables, including soy vegetables, which are very common in Japan, China, USA, Africa, Asia and others. countries. Therefore, the creation of vegetable soybean varieties with high nutritional value under irrigation in the south of Ukraine is one of the main factors determining its market value. Thus, the purpose of our research is to substantiate the theoretical basis for the creation and implementation of new high-yielding high-quality seeds of promising lines of culturally intensive soybeans for irrigation conditions in southern Ukraine and food soybeans under climate change. To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve the following tasks: - to enrich the soybean gene pool with new samples, to identify sources of valuable traits; - to create a hybrid material that meets the purpose of selection; - to investigate the manifestation of signs of adaptability in new promising soybean lines: medium-early and early-maturing soybeans with high seed quality and high nitrogen-fixing ability; - to create vegetable soybean lines adaptable to the irrigation conditions of the south of Ukraine.
