Problems of determining the elemental composition of various objects, including radioactive ones will be considered. The proposed work will also consider the following promising areas of research, such as neutron radiography, the use of neutron beams for medical purposes, based on which new techniques and technologies for various scientific and applied tasks may be developed. The development of new materials for protection against ionizing radiation, which should replace lead-based shielding materials will be studied and the possibility of radionuclides identification on the spectra of their radiation will be investigated.
