A particular attention will be paid to the compounds containing the elements characterized by a mixed valence state and coexistence of magnetic moments on the atoms of f- and d-elements. The atoms of these elements exhibit exceptional sensibility to the crystal lattice modifications, as well as to the changes in the electronic structure due to the formation of new chemical bonds. Finally, as a result of the project it is expected to recommend synthesized compounds for testing as sensitive and efficient sensors.
