Its development will make it possible to observe and describe the process of the formation of the Ukrainian oikonomicon system in the synchronic and diachronic aspect, to trace the connection of settlement names with other onymic classes - anthroponyms, hydronyms, microtoponyms, as well as with different groups of appellative vocabulary.
