Object - adult and old Wistar rats. Methods: physiological, biochemical. It was shown that sensitivity increased and the endurance of IH to restriction of coronary flow and postischemic reperfusion decreased during ageing. It appeared that the creatine phosphokinase activity in perfusate increased to a greater degree in old rats compared to the adult. The Na,K-ATPase got activated in adult rats and declined in the old. Under prolonged perfusion conditions there synthesizes a factor (invertor) in the heart of adult, unlike old, animals, which reduced the myocardial contractile function regulated and activated the Na,K-ATPase of plasmatic membranes fraction of the cardiomyocytes.
