On the basis of the newest oceanographic data generalization, in the limits of the Carpathian-Blac sea Tethys segment ancient upwelling zones are revealed. For the first time the conception of the "upwelling formation" is formulated. In the sedimentary strata of the region Vendian, Lower Devonian, Albian-Cenomanian, Oligicene upwelling formations are described; main types of sedimentogenesis which caused the organic -silica-phosphate rich sediments deposition are characterized. Paleooceanograrhic model of the paragenetic Middle-Upper Devonian sulphate-carbonate formation is created.
