The following conclusion was made: the used scheme of spent fuel consignment to Russia for storage affects significant economic damage to Ukraine and does not ensure long-term reliable operation of Ukrainian NPPs. The alternative variant of organization of long-term storage of spent fuel in Ukraine based on storehouse of modular and container types has been proposed.
