Three options are estimated and proposed to be applied for the uranium waste management for the period 2000-2015: (1) to enlarge the existing tailings storage capacity by increase of its fill up mark (dams build-up), (2) to enlarge the existing tailings storage capacity by silting of pressing layer and use of the tailings material condensation and compression effect and (3) to fill up the storage facility with solidified tailings ("dry" storing). It is found out, that the first option of the the tailings disposal during 15 years provides the least values of radiation dose exposure,changes insignificantly the hydro-geological conditions and is well studied and wide-known one, but thus takes high capital and operational costs. The second option is the most favorable in term of economic, provides acceptable radiation exposure value s and tolerant environmental impact, but is not well-studied. Adventages of the third option are its operational ability around 45 years, opportunity to simultaneously implement the tailings storing and the territory remediation, to reduce underground waters contamination level and to keep exposure dose values within established limits. Shortages are the high capital and operational costs and no experience of the given technology application. For the further researches and trial tests the second option was selected due to its relative newness and good economical effect. Also, it is recommended to continue study of the third option.
