Complex precision study of their crystal structure is fulfilled, main parameters of some REB6 and REB12 structure are obtained. There are found new high-boron phases of REE, incommensurate LaB6 phase, method of evaluation of lattice imperfections is proposed. Influence of metal-partner nature on solid solution formation in systems on the base of SmB6, YbB6, ScB12 is researched. For LuB12 and YB12 effect of negative thermal expansion is found.
