The isothermal (at 150 С) and polythermal sections (at 4,5; 8,5; 16 % Al) are plotted for ternary phase diagram of Mg-Al-Ca to reveal the boundaries of the mutual solubility (Са and Al) and to predict commercial composition of the alloy. Observed improvement in creep resistance is achieved by strengthening of the both eutectic components а-Mg solid solution and Mg17Al12 phase.
