The goal of the work is definttion of the main trends of the increase of economic activity and development of proposals as for ways and methods of their realization. In the work the state of economic activity in the rural areais in vestigated and progrosis calculations of employment of the rural population in 2003-2010. Besides the main trends of extension of the range of engagement of inhabit ants of the villages, measures of organizing, legal and pecuniary aid (support) (financial support) of the unemployed rural population, proposals are developed as for improvement of activity and responsibility of bodies of local authority for the state of employment of country people.
