The purpose of work: research of a material failure in a contact zone of solids under their cyclic loading, considering the formation and propagation of shear cracks. The prediction of processes of the pitting and spalling formations in contact zones of a rolling bodies and joint elements working under fretting-fatigue conditions; estimation of a friction units durability. Methods of research: approaches of the fatigue fracture mechanics, method of the singular integral equations. The two-stage calculation models for research of failure process and estimation of a durability of a contact bodies damaged by cracks is developed; this models are consider both shear stage and separate stage of a cracks propagation. The mathematical apparatus of the singular integral equations for bodies with cracks, faces of which can contacted, is developed.
