Purpose: To study peculiarities of cerebral hemodynamic change and cerebral-cardiac interrelations in АVМ of different size and location in ante- and postendovascular interventions; develop a standard test of human compensatory abilities in this vascular pathology considering different age groups. Methods: analysis of neurological state, cerebral angiography, computer tomography, single photon emission computer imaging, magnetic-resonance imaging, echocardiography, double hour arterial pressure measurement, bioelectrical cardiac potentials. Results: Mechanisms of cerebral hemodynamic change in patients of various age groups depending on their size, location were determined, taking into account cerebral-cardiac interrelations, conditions of cerebral collateral circulation. Based on the given data, the indications were developed for surgical endovascular intervention, their volume and nature: simultaneous, complete АVМ excision or multistaged endovascular intervention, combination of endovascular excision following AVM elimination.
