Purpose of the study: To develop the criteria of oncomarker (PSA, bombesine) application in monitoring of radiotherapy efficacy inprostate, breast, lung cancer. Methods and equipment: clinical instrumental, radioimmune, immunoenzyme, statistical. Results: The correlation between free and total PSA was studied in 82 patients with prostate cancer; PSA expression, Ca 15-3, lactopherone and Ca-125 - in patients with breast cancer, bombensine amount - in 49 patients with lung cancer at classical and accelerated fractionation. 95% sensitivity and 80% specificity of free PSA/total PSA ratio was shown. Discriminatory level of this ratio was determined which equals 12% for prostate cancer. It was proved that bombesine level could be used for monitoring of the radiotherapy efficacy in patients with small-cell lung cancer at classical and accelerated fractionation and in patients with squamous-cell lung cancer at acceleratedfractionation. Novelty: For the first time, the possibility to use PSA for monitoring of the radiotherapy efficacy in patients with prostate cancer was studied. The criteria of its application as to the discriminatory level were worked out. Low informativity of the use of the generally accepted tumor markers of breast cancer in evaluation of radiotherapy efficacy was shown to be due to low correlation of the results and the clinical data. Possibility to use bombesine for monitoring of different irradiation modes in lung cancer was proved. Efficacy: Scientifically substantiated criteria of the use of the parameter free PSA/total PSAx100% and bombesine level were worked out which allowed to improve radiotherapy efficacy evaluation. Degree of introduction: 3 articles were published, 4 reports were made, application for invention was submitted. Area of application: medicine, cancer research institutes, regional cancer hospitals, oncology and radiotherapy centers. Prognosis of the further development of the object: investigation of the complex use of generally accepted and molecular genetic markers of breast cancer for monitoring radiotherapy efficacy.
