Research objectives are the creation and development of methods to analyze special spacecraft motion conditions as a system of connected bodies as well as the elucidation of dynamical regularities of the systems. Research methods are general methods of analytical mechanics, methods of the theory of elasticity, methods of the stability theory, numerical methods and methods of computer simulation. Proposed is a mathematical description of spacecraft rotary motion under transient and nonstandard conditions with regard to different types of frequently used of absolutely rigid and elastic elements: spacecraft body, separated-in-flight bodies, additional deployable bodies of the type of multirod bars, multiple solar arrays and parabolic antennas. Algorithms and procedures for analyzing the spacecraft dynamics under transient and nonstandard conditions are developed. A mathematical model for the dynamics of a space short tethered system of twin bodies, stabilized by rotation is built. Formulas for calculations of motion parameters of the system under consideration are obtained. An orbital motion, relative motion and motion of the system end bodies are analyzed. Schematics for dampers to attach the tether to system end bodies are proposed. A new form for describing equations for a dynamical model of the space tethered system with a spherical hinge is proposed. Equations of the model are linearized regarding a radial position of equilibrium of the system by using a package of symbolic simulation Maple. Program packages for analyzing special conditions of spacecraft motions are developed. Results of research work can be used for analyzing transient and nonstandard conditions of motion of large space systems, choosing rational designs of these systems, developing methods of parametric calculations, research-and-engineering design supporting.
