There established palladium behaviour regularities in hydrogen: structure changes of subsurface layers during reverse hydride transformations; form-changes of palladium plate during saturation with hydrogen; it is given mathematical description of form-changing effect. Kinetic and morphological peculiarities of hydride transformations in palladium and hydrogen-induced phase transformations in hard magnetic materials of Nd2Fe14B type are established. Fundamental knowledge established in the work are used for the formulation of recomendations for the safe operation of equipment of hydrogen energy and technology.
